    Do you reckon the gusset under the downtube pushed force back and cracked it ?

    Mine cracked up the above engine mount up ,nother common place , @DRjoe welded er up years ago and its been good ever since:beer

    It cracked 2 rides ago so I had the below brace done but it broke again last year. It's the main down tube that breaks. I did think that a solid bar pushed up from under the mudguard into the frame tube would do the best job but there is a ridge in there that prevents that idea.

    add a shocky from a mountain bike and youve got a triple suspended postie.

    Dave,
    From memory four bolts top of frame behind the side covers. Easy job... Only problem is the fuel lines feed direct to the fuel tap on the carby so no real way stopping fuel leaking out of the hoses as you remove the tank. Get them the wrong way around and on becomes reserve and vice versa.
