Fair enough. My thoughts were these might have better tar abilities than the 606's, which I am also considering as you say ~ = $4$.. Got a few k's left in my current tyres yet and due to work injury unlikely to wear them out soon.

Buy and try I guess. I will be able to do a direct comparo with the 606 when my mate changes out his Motoz's GPS's; he has the same suspension mods so should be a good test. :beer

Good stuff mate, I’ve just assembled mine with new shafts and I picked up all the cases this afternoon from vapour blasting, been busy taping in readiness for painting tomorrow :photog

Crank is in getting a new connecting rod fitted and barrel getting sleeved for a 790 piston, still waiting on larger valves to rock up..hopefully early next week

how popular do you want to be at the end of a days ride.?

Mount small esky instead of top box.. or waterproof side pannier.. or waterproof roll top bag on back of seat..
Fill with ice at lunch time, with ice from servo..
Chilled by end of days riding.

not that I’ve ever thought about it..

    Staintune System.
Hi, Has anyone fitted a Staintune recently, I have a new system and cannot get the two sections together more that a few millimeters. Even off the bike with the muffler secured I cannot get the header in far enough for the mounts to line up. It will only go in about 10mm and I would not be able to get that much mounted on the bike. Are they normally this tight?

I’ve not fitted a staintune, but perhaps a little gentle persuasion to open up the flare a little?

A good exhaust shop should be able to expand it a bit for you. Don’t force it together, it’ll be a bitch to get back apart. My Staintune goes together about 25-30 mm.

So after many-many hours of taping and cleaning with wax and grease remover I’ve finally got some painting done. Clutch and stator cover were 1st off, 3 coats of primer and then 3 top coats of Duplicolor High Temp Ceramic Cast Coat Iron. I then left for 1hr and than baked in the oven for 1hr at 100’c...I put a bit of work into them, it better bloody hold up. Colour come up well i reckon:beer

1st of the crank case halves are in the oven now, they and the rest will be painted aluminium

spotted a Good condition 40FO titanium on eBay a couple of weeks ago, bidding had stalled at $200, jumped on just prior to bidding closing and threw in a $250 bid, was outbid straight away and it ended up going for $330 I think it was...was that you?
Seen a few others but shit they’re asking big dollars for them
