I like the look of it. When he gets back on the tar at about 6:40 you can hear the clunky gear changes from hundreds of metres away.
Sorry to go slightly off-topic, but I notice the English presenter in that video calls the Italian bike a Moto Guzzi, without the 't' sound in the second word. Not being a member of the local cognoscenti, I have no idea how your typical Aussie owner pronounces it. As for me, my understanding is that a 'double z' in Italian is always pronounced as 'tz', ergo Moto Gutzi. Any local owners care to comment?
So pretty much all the Guzzi footage is of Hugo Wilson at the launch in Sardinia, and Yam of Michael Neeves at the launch in Tenerife.... Quality stuff, worth sfa.
No. The 'Z' sound has always the same sound as when you pronounce the zed of "ZIPPER" or "ZEBRA". So GU-Z-Z-I has just a double zed, this means simply that you have to extend the duration of of the sibilant sound. That's all. I don't know why many journalist have to distort and/or shorten the 'Z' duration in something like "gu-si', or "gu-zi". Maybe it is just because they think that it cannot be so simple. Maybe they are convinced that the double zed stays for a very special sound...
The Red and White one will be west of Ipswich next week, I need to slow down a bit and this V85tt has the same power as a Kawasaki I had a while ago. Time to smell the roses again.
I’m sure that V85tt will be a brilliant choice for that. I was very impressed with my 45 min test ride.
The bloke conducting the tours around the factory in this youtube video is in total agreement with you. That is good enough for me.
Not that I'm anal or anything, but who else noticed the 850 Le Mans in the museum is missing its front right brake hose...?
Making a Quadlock bracket for my V85TT (pick up next week), so can someone please tell me the centre distance on the top two rear upper screen mount screws.
The red is starting to grow on me. The yellow appealed initially because I think it reminded me of my TY250 back in 75. Ah.. lost youth....
