Honda took the Africa twin from a very good relatively simple well priced bike which is something that made it so popular and went and competed with BMW and others, it looked doomed from day one and is ending up that way

I’m not saying it’s now a bad bike, but they took it away from what made it very popular

You have to take into account the availability of the different models throughout last year. Quiet a few bikes were sold out and constantly waiting for new bikes to arrive for sale.

With a tiny fuel tank and limited range, near perfect might be stretching it a bit..I think that is the biggest gripe amongst current owners

Blue Wing Honda imports direct in NZ (not Honda) so unless its a farm bike, good luck. Also have a look at the price of an AT in NZ compared to the other brands they are way out of sink from a price comparison point of view.

I saw the price of a Triumph Tiger 800 in new Plymouth a few years ago and nearly fell over. its why I always advocate you can’t just do currency conversion when comparing what a bike might cost in countries there are other variables which have far greater effect

T7 on order (due February) can't wait.
Bought a Africa Twin 1100 (Standard) last October; too much electronics on it for my liking (Knew it had lots, but it worried me and I know its a honda but still)
So sold it and went to the T7 for simplicity and just fun.

Interestingly was talking to BMW dealer last week, said BMW R1250gs is sold out and all bikes coming into the country are sold 3-6 month waiting list.
Also the new 2021 R1250GSA with panniers and optioned to their top spec is now a very reasonable ........

    Wait for it...........

$41,800 ride away..... (according to the dealer, expect some variation)... Said they are still selling like crazy despite the price.

That's how much my blood ute was.....

if I was starting again I would just be putting the K-Tech Piston and Valve Kit in front and rear with the right springs

The fork kit is easy to fit yourself, I wouldnt be doing the shock myself though
