We went today for the first time (much better than I expected). We didn't have the GPX...would have been useful. We screwed around for an 1/2 hour before we found the trail head (red arrows are back up....rumor had it that the were down). We road about 20 - 30 miles of the main loop. Be prepared to get wet. About 15 miles into the loop, we hit some pretty soupy stuff. 1 hole swallowed the back tire of my bike completely. Some "ponds" were 20 - 50 feet long and anywhere from 6" to 1' deep. Pretty decent riding though. We will make it back for the whole loop this summer.

One Pachaug entrance is literally 1/4 mile from my house. My new TE is not broken in yet but when it is, we'll have to hook up.

I love long trail rides and in CT they are not easy to come by. I looked at the Pachaug GPS file and I can't tell where I should safely unload my bike. Any suggestions (address?). Also my XR 400 has no plate. Will the DEP be out and about? I am assuming the bike unload spot is not a State forest parking lot. Also I like to ride on Sunday.....is there a better/safer day to ride?

I now have a plated bike and was wondering where the best unload spot is. Any suggestions?
