Saturday : Dawn. It is very early and am the only one having breakfast in this small hotel. I have time to walk around the city until my last stretch to Mexico Citty and take some pictures.

    Proud Business Woman

This morning I have a VIP treat. Two drivers are taking me back with their Mercedez to Mexico City. Eduardo and Luis are 2 brothers working in tourism. As business has been low last few months, I am glad that they will have an extra income by getting me to Mexico City and at the same time I have found a solution to be back on time . We spend the day exchanging thoughts about Bikes, ecology and the environment, politic and all sorts of subjects related to Mexico as we move at good pace.

The state of Oaxaca is really beautiful and I wish I could have spent more time there. I already have a plan in the making for a future trip by Bike by going through all the small towns and villages and get some Oaxaca's artisanal crafts. Each small village has specialized in a type of handicrafts made with passion. This combination in the state of culture, gastronomy, landscapes, drink (Mezcal) and crafts with all these warm colors is unique in Mexico. Not surprisingly, Cortez decided after invaded the Aztec Empire to settle in this region and become the Marquis of Oaxaca. It is also in the Home state of Benito Juarez, of Zapoteca indigenous origin, who is still considered to date one the best Mexican President who brought a lot of organizational change back in the 19th century to the country .

Mexico City is quiet with little traffic on this Saturday. I am happy to rejoin with my friends Juan Pablo and Alejandro and spend time with them the next few days enjoying Mexico City together with my wife who is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

The following day I have the Vstrom cleaned and passing in my hands through detailing process. It has been a wonderful bike to ride in term of Bike handling and with a very good motor. So unfortunate to have the Fuel Pump issue. I am so grateful to Gerardo and all my friends along this small journey. I have filled my eyes with excellent memories during this solo short trip south of Mexico

Tuesday, February 9, we arrive back in in Houston after 2 months away. Custom is super friendly and what a change of attitude compared to last December. We are back home and by the time I finish these lines we are now recovering from the worst winter Houston has experienced. We have to rebuild most of the interior house and this is an other adventure ! Writing the last few weeks at night has helped me to get things organized for the reconstruction motivating me for the yet to come next trip. So let’s keep riding !
I will still post a few more pictures of Oaxaca and Mexico City next few days but no more writing.
That' s all Folks. Thank You for reading.
