I'll never forget that... riding past you, gripping the bike with one hand and a bush with the other. I had to stop at the top and come back down to you.
"First thing, I'm OK. Do you have a camera?"
Your mindset was in the right place!
Good thing those Jeeps with the winch came through.
We need some better pics of this, not just that little avatar thumbnail

It's hard to make out, but it was quite a ways down to the bottom of the wash, and the hillside just disintegrated if you look at it sideways.
And that was before the rock garden.....but you did make the Jeeper's day, he finally got use his winch!
Let's not talk about the rock garden...

thanks for joining us....the first rally is always the most memorable. you'll meet a lot of good people. it's fun and you'll be a better rider afterwards.
I'm out due to fatherly duties; taking the girls to the happiest place on earth (although 10x more expensive than a rally, but they just don't understand!). 2 things:
1) Please switch 34, Capt Quagmire from carpool to BT
2) Please donate/gift my registration to any folks with hardships first, or use it for extra supplies/food/whatever.
Send us a pic with the Mickey Ears on...
the shirt I will be wearing:
Did that for a week back in 1993 with my parents and our two daughters. Lugged a full sized VHS camera around for the whole time in the park. We were in a big motorhome parked at what used to be the campground, now mostly parking and downtown Disney. I think the week of unlimited passes cost about what a single day ticket costs now.
We did some beach time while we were camped there too.
Then we ended up moving out here about seven years later and the girls had annual passes, plus neighbors who worked there so VIP stuff. We needed up spending more than enough time in the park, to the point I think I've maxed out my lifetime quota. One year was a five day cheer competition. Most of those days were extremely long, from early morning before rush hour to after midnight. I went through a lot of expensive coffee.
At some point, we'll talk brother. Did the club cheer thing for many years and had to do Disneyland and DisneyWorld within 45 days of each other. Now it's just for fun...
Back to the moto talk. I want everyone at the rally to do Rocky Gap and I want to see pics afterwards!
I'm most liking doing easy flat graded gravel riding. And in the shade if I can find it.
