Stahlratte is in Isla Mujeres / Mexico right now and is starting the Cuba round trip in a few days. After that Mexico -> Cuba -> Panama -> Colombia. We will be back in the Panama / Colombia area Mai 30th...

On the last trip from Panama to Colombia in January Stahlratte couldn't use the pier in Turbo. So Ludwig had to find another solution to get the bikes ashore.

The boat is leaving Mexico tomorrow for the last trip to Cuba this season. Stahlratte will be back in the Darien Gap area May 30th...

Sorry if this info is already included but can we just ride to the boat and load it or is there a thorough process of taking of emptying the fuel, carburetor, taking the tank off etc.

Also for those in South America for a longer period of time can we go down 1 way and catch a different trip going back to Panama?

You just have to take off the panniers and bags before loading
(Next to making a reservation and paying a deposit...).
Sure you can go both ways if the boat is in the area during the time of your return trip.
There even is a discount for that :)

If you stay in South America till January 2020 you could even take the return trip via Cuba to Mexico starting January 5th.

Stahlratte is leaving Santiago de Cuba today for Jamaica. After a stopover there and later on Isla Providencia the boat will be back in San Blas / Panama on May 30th.
