The very latest addition to post earthquake Christchurch opened less than a month ago here
Some of the early feedback was kinda disappointing so was very pleasantly surprised visiting for the first time today
Then on the revitalised and rebuilt river front alongside, a good crowd had gathered to listen to a school brass/jazz/swing band on my side of the river...
Great to see Christchurch really coming back into its own and creating a proper downtown identity after such cataclysmic destruction.
Long weekend here this weekend so ShaggieWife and I took Boomshanka over to Akaroa today for lunch at a friends Thai restaurant.
Surprisingly little traffic on the way over (and what there was, was speedily dispatched) and we managed to evade the Revenue Collectors...
Road was nice and clean and ShaggieWife was happy for me to be a little spirited over the curvy bits...

On the Goat Trail to the Big Bluff overlooking the Buffalo National River, Arkansas. The narrow ledge behind us is the "Goat Trail". Great views!
