I'm not going to be able to make the Hop this year, but you guys have fun and be safe.

Oh by the way, that's not one of those things that you guys should only do one or the other.:imaposer

That's what I have on the Tiger and they've seen a good bit of Blackwater. Even at street pressures, the only time I ever had a problem, I doubt tires would have made a difference.

Yes indeed--tmw and Saturday look great, Sunday not so much. At any rate, it sure beats the weather forecast for last year's Hop...temps look good too, highs around 80/lows in the 60s. Hammock weather!:rayof

Unfortunately I think I'm out again this year. I feel a lot better today, but I'm hung over from the pain meds/lack of sleep and don't feel solid enough to get that far from home and set up camp. You gents do a lap and down a beer for me, and maybe I can get loose on another weekend before it gets too hot!

I see on FB there is also a bicycle race in Blackwater staged out of Krull this weekend. Look out for the peddlers.

I saw that post too. Hopefully no issues.

Also we had a visit from 2 blackwater officers Wednesday after the ride. That as never happened to me. They stopped by to tell us we were "tearing up the road" , "misbehaving" and they knew there were a group of us... we were pleasant to them of course. They hung out until we the 3 of us left. Followed us out to the road. I only remember seeing 1 jeep through the woods... passed him slowly and a few workers at hurricane lake where we stopped for a short break. Not sure if someone called on us from wilderness, or they saw tracks while driving around or what. Just letting ya know.

We plan on heading out tonight after I get off work. Look forward to seeing you all. Screenshot_2019-04-11-18-50-11.jpeg

Sort of a joke about bikes "tearing up" the trails. The damage done by 4 wheelers recently is the worst that I have ever seen. More ruts and wheel-spin trenches for mile after mile. Possibly they had an event during the recent heavy rain, but it's really a mess out on their favorite trails.

Maybe someone can take some photos of the road damage for reference in case we are ever accused of creating damage. The worst area was the North-South trail South of Mattie Kennedy Rd. This seems to be a 4WD favorite.

There was a Sheriff car at Wilderness Landing for at least a few hours today. I don't know if he stopped anyone.

You guys were so nice to let me join your group yesterday. I loved how diverse that area is for riding. Hills mud sand water woops rocks and roots. That’s a recipe for a lot of fun.
Camp fire talk was enjoyable and thanks for having som Jose’ on hand. Afternoon turkey was awesome.
Thanks guys. That’s a great spot for those events. I want to come back for some other events. I’ll be hawkin the forum.
Thanks again for the hospitality and be safe

Have arrived home and now its time to unpack anything damp and dry it out.

Had a great time, and am so very glad I decided to man-up and come on out after my adventures earlier in the week.

Once again you guys made me feel at home and part of the group... can't tell you how much that means to me.

Turkey and ribs.... 'nough said,, thanks brother! :thumb

The storm last night was wild and hairy, luckily I had enough straps/weights to keep my ez-up from flying away.... was surprised at how little rain actually fell, but there was a double dose of wind! I must not have been the only one evaluating my life choices this morning, Camp was a ghost town by the time I woke up... LOL (BTW... weather was beautiful after the storm finished!)

So......How many days till the next Trot? :dukegirl
