    Yes. To quote Ernie:

"We opened off onto a beautiful dirt road and within five or so miles encountered our first obstical: a locked gate. We assumed the gatekeeper mistakenly locked the gate and skirted along a deep drainage ditch to get past. The road had some pretty severe erosion from the recent storms but was passible. We continued on and loved the twisting turning gravel that hummed under our wheels."

day three. we had a late start. first let me apologize about the lack of caps. i am typing this on my iphone and it will take long enough this way.

we decided to take the time to try to get the scala headsets operational before we set off. we got in touch with customer support and they walked is through hard resetting the units and then pairing them in an interesting way.
to hard reset them: hold the mobile connect (center top) button down until red and blue lights flash, then hold the volume up button until purple lights flash, allow to shut down and then restart.
we paired them in the usual way by holding the channel buttons until the lights danced, but he had us pair helmets 1 and 2 on a channel, 2 and 3 on b channel, and then 1 and 3 on b and a channels respectively. no more pivot guy. this setup worked wonderfully all day going in and out of range. to regain comms one rider would have to press the a or b chsnnel buttons. we were very happy with the performance if these devices today.
the nuvis and zumis gave us yhe trouble today. my nuvi kept recalculation the route on us and the other two zumis ran the routes for a while, but gave up trying. we resorted to old school navigsting using the map and a route sheet. the gps served as a backup and reference for us.
we headed out of camp north on 17, took a right onto morton cutoff road a gravel road with tight turns and narrow passages. we ran into a few logging semitrucks blasting through but we still made good time despite the numerous roughly repaired sections. we turned right onto lincoln pond road which was a wider and smoother logging road. lincoln road begat tim pond road and passed quite a few cabins. we hit route 27 and headed south for eustis and fuel. we found a sunoco on the left and grabbed fuel, water and some fresh food, ice and beer. once our tanks and coolers were filled we headed north again for beaudry rd.
we turned right into beaudry and headed east. the road was wide gravel and busy with trucks. with the scalas we were able to stay out of their way. beaudry changed to gold brook and we followed that up to spencer rd. again this road had a lot of rough repairs done to it. we all got to experience our own pucker facter moments along this route. we headed east on spencer road and followed that to 201. 201 is a two lane blacktop but an amazing road. we were able shake some of the dust off on its sweeping and dipping curves while enjoying the view. in west forks we stopped at the general store to top off and use the porcelin. the headed south to lake moxie road a narrow gravel. we turned right onto brocha and followed that to the secret camp. it was too buggy for us so we headed north east on brocha and found a double secret camp to hole out for the night. more tomorrow, good night. ernie

My brother and I borrowed DockingPilot's route two summers ago. Loved this road! Partly because my name is Spenser and partly because we could cruise along at 60mph (sometimes more) on our DR350s and soak up the sweeping corners!

Ran into Rhodehazard and the guys in East Millinocket this morning on my way to work. Showed them where to hit the Madden road and we exchanged cell numbers in case they needed any help (I live in Houlton). Turns out the help was needed shortly thereafter. A bit of trouble to put it mildly, but I will let Ernie fill in the blanks. Best of luck guys...and you know how to contact me if you need more help.
