Definitely cleaner than the u-bolt clamp. I'll get some on order from Ram.

I'm probably going to work up a direct-mounting option that integrates with the bar clamp as well. A project for next month though. :)

Can't wait until these ship, I've been looking for a good solution for mounting my phone to the SW-Motech GPS mount and this looks like the ticket!

I had one customer ask about a non-Ram mounting solution for bikes with the HDB one-piece top clamp, so I made a quick model of an alternative mounting option that attaches to one of the bar-clamp bolts and keeps the phone over the bars in a low position. This would work with most M8 bar clamps. Just curious if this would be of interest to anyone else. If so, I'll start collecting measurements from different clamps to get a range of depths for the bolt head pocket. From photos, the HDB clamp looks to recess the bolt heads a bit beyond flush.

Anyway, we're almost finished with the first production run, so shipping soon.

Alright, that's badass. Thanks for building this. All of your pictures show the phone in landscape, but I run my phone in Portrait. Is that an issue?

I was just thinking about just this. Sign me up!

i get the chance to test the prototype model. the machining quality and finish is aerospace quality.

perfect fit on my 2 bikes and love the low profile look. i have the x-mount from ram which is not a bad product, except this one is much better.

great job mondo and keep the dog busy.

    btw, did it survive baja?

It did survive. And both the mount and the KLR survived 1400 miles in 3 days back up to Montana. I did blow out both fork seals... again. So I have oily boots. But the phone never fell out :)

Since lots of you have ordered phone mounts, I'm machining all weekend :) While running parts, I whipped up a prototype of the bar clamp mount (it will be called the Bar-Tab.) Works well on all the bikes I have access to. If anyone has an HDB top clamp, I'd be curious to know how deep the pockets are for the clamp bolts, as I need to make sure the boss is tall enough to place the tab above the clamp. These won't be ready to buy for another week or so. Production versions will be black anodized. I'll post here when they're up in the store.

Mounted on a Ural. It only uses two holes of the AMPS pattern, so you can higher up or lower down, plus it can be flipped to run the mount inside or outside the bar clamps.

My X-Mount has been a little hit and miss like others have reported. Twice now my iPhone 6 has come loose on bumpy roads.

This would be my preferred mounting method for my Speed Triple. Added to my list of must do mods!

    $%&# awesome!

I took the 950 out for a ride today with the Perfect Squeeze and couldn't be happier. I rode about 200 miles, with a good amount of off-road, and the mount worked flawlessly.
