I had some time last night to play around a little with mounting.
The reversible clamp design is brilliant! :thumb

This mount isn't just a good design, or simply a good mount, or even just a good value. This is THE mount I've been searching for, without knowing I was searching for only one.
Here's what I mean by that, I ride my motorcycle to commute every day, then when I get home, go for a training ride a bicycle.
Until now, I would slip my phone into my jersey pocket after syncing it to a remote display.
The other day that remote display died. One of that brand's sensors had died about six months ago as well. That is about $200 in stuff. Plastic, electronic stuff that ends up living about two years, then dying. Hmm.
Now, I have a mount for my phone that works on my motorcycle and my bicycles. Yes, both the mountain bike and the road bike and the big fat Starbucks cruiser 990! :wings

Would this work on a bicycle as well?

Sure will. I use it on my enduro MTB. And in the photos above it's been mounted to a road bike stem. The low-profile clamp option will clamp to pretty much any handlebar in existence... even the new 35mm bars that some downhill bikes are using.

Mondo, your site says two weeks before available.
Is that actually the case. Leaving for Alaska end of June, would love to try this out as it will accept my 6+ in the life case. Proven waterproof case just no good way to mount, this product looks like the best mounting option by far that I have seen.
    Thanks

We still have that up just to be safe. If you ordered today, it would be no more than a week at this point. Probably less.

See images above. I ridden about a hundred miles with my phone clamped in it. Zero issues. Oh, and turn the phone screen off or the batter in it will die in about four hours.

@Mondo-Hondo what is the height of the stand -off's / gripper posts? I'm still bouncing between navigation with my trusty dusty Garmin 60CSx and an iPhone 6. Would be fantastic if this could play double duty (though realize that isn't the original design intent). Thanks!

The gripper posts are .725" tall.

easy solution. fab a dummy smart phone.

obtain an aluminum plate and cut to the size ( l x w ) of a smart phone. even smaller footprint will work.

drill and tap the middle to the hole pattern of the gps mount. screw in place and grip it perfect squeeze.

i will have to make my own if hondo wish not to pursue this.

I like it. Do I need to make Android and Apple versions of the dummy phone to make everyone happy? :) I do wonder if it would clamp the 60CSx from the side? If you use the RAM ball option, you can turn the Perfect Squeeze sideways. The GPS might be just a bit too narrow though.

I have the Bar-Tab mounting option up in the store now. It's available as a separate item or bundled with the Perfect Squeeze.

I've redone the pricing a bit to allow for folks to order without a mounting option if they'd like, as a lot of people have a whole drawer full of ram stuff. So the options now are:
    • No mounting option
    • Low-Profile clamps
    • Bar-Tab
    • RAM ball
    • RAM ball bundle (everything from bar to phone)
