Come out and join a great event the guys at PMMC have put on the past couple of years. It is a very fun and challenging ride in a beautiful part of AL. The event is scheduled for Sept 24-25.
If you are unfamiliar with PMMC, feel free to check them out on FB or a search of the web. You will find numerous articles about previous events. (National Enduro event, 24hr race, Gobbler Getter...)

    https://www.facebook.com/Perry-Mountain-Motorcycle-Club-168518355656/

The event is held in Reynolds Pasteur near Maplesville, AL. Plenty of space to fit anyone from the largest motorhomes down to a guy in a hammock....

    (Lunch provided on Saturday only)

Mr. Brian Duke (Bduke) is the organizer of this event. He will be happy to answer any of your questions you may have concerning the event especially anything to do with the PMMC or ride rules in the surrounding area. Myself or others may be able to answer any of your general questions on the event/past events.

Thank you and hope to see you at Perry Mountain!

Not bad. There are usually some go arounds to get past some of the more difficult stuff. It's a fun ride.

Lol. I was hoping to hear that it is very challenging. I'm looking for some technical single track.

I really enjoyed the last 2 rides put on by PMMC. Great bunch of folks and diverse terrain with some single track and optional single track. Best part was watching Phoneman put his son through the gauntlet. All the time with a grin....

Can someone help me with some info?

I am interested in coming down from St. Louis area, and wondering what would be the best bike to bring??

My ktm 690??? Or my plated ktm 300 2 smoker??

How much pavement is there?? I would much rather ride some cool single track on the 300... But if there is a lot of gravel roads with +50 mph speeds, the 690 would be a better choice..

    A little insight please...

The Dual Sport ride on Saturday is 90 % dirt(woods trails and dirt roads) and approximately 95 miles long. There are only small sections of pavement. It is set-up more for the dirt bike type dual sports, KTM EXC's, Suzuki DRZ 400, etc... The Adventure Dual Sport is set-up for larger Dual Sports Kawasaki KLR 650, Honda XR 650L, BMW 800, etc... The Adventure Ride on Saturday is 150 miles 70 % dirt Roads 30% pavement. I am still working on Sundays routes.
If you like woods trails mixed with some dirt routes to connect everything then the 300 would be the most fun.
