Milling and bending should be finished tomorrow, we need couple of days to powder coat it. By next Monday, April 22nd, product page should be up and running!

Did you get a chance to see if a US10 would fit on it well?

Yes. It all took this long as I were going back and forth between different setups. US-10 and same or smaller sized bags will fit nicely.

    Here is prototype.

Half full US-10. Mind that OEM silencer is mounted higher. But there will be few cm's of clearance with stock silencer too.

    Hello Nikola,

Have you had a chance yet to try a fitting on the 790? I'm looking forward to mounting a few tool tubes on my bike when they come out. Or a tube, and a US-5 perhaps.

    Thanks,

Hi Vee, no 790's around here yet. But I am sure it won't fit. :( Side rack connections are very different. I will try to get my hands on 790 asap, but can't make any promises. :/

I hear ya. Just thought I'd follow up. Too bad the subframe geometry data isn't out there to check out. Maybe have that fellow in France who helped out with the rack tape up something to his 790 to trace out the bolt holes etc. Desperate times call for desperate measures lol

*going back to the rack pictured above - is this an evolution of the already released 790 rack? Is the submount shown in those photos standard now for the 790 rack? I hadn't caught on to those lower pieces previously.

    Looks great!

got the rack for my 1190. Am I supposed to use all of the spacers? The bolts seem extremely long...
I know I can go get different bolts, just asking.

Mounting MM R80/40 set up: How are people using the middle anchor strap? Are you mounting it using the slots more towards the front so there's some place to mount another bag behind it? Any pictures anyone would like to share would most likely clear it up for me. TIA

Antoine was very helpful, but this would require much more work as it is not just checking if existing product works, it requires much more. It's completely different bike in that area.

But this may be perfect time for you to visit Serbia, you have where to stay and we will make it in 2-3 days. Than we can go for a ride. :D

Don't go for shorter bolts, thread engagement is just right. Spacers are wide enough to provide enough support and bolt is strong enough. Threads are cut into steel subframe. You can lift the bike holding it just for the rack, no worries.

You have several options, check here - https://www.perunmoto.com/pages/ktm-1090-1190-1290-top-luggage-rack-installation-instructions.

If you are using rack without OEM grab handles, front of the rack does stick out a bit. You can solve that with Subplate accessory we just released. With Subplate, rack will be flush with OEM seat (only to be used without Grab handles). If you need it PM me before ordering I have something for you.

So, what was the point with different mounting options.

If rack is mounted in "standard way", with provided spacers, it will be perpendicular to mounting bolts and more or less parallel to the ground. This is excellent if top case is used as it will sit in nice angle and it won't lean towards the front. Also, this way, rack is flush with Power parts seat and i provides good support for rack-less systems. And there is enough room on the underside for Kriega rack hoops.

But if someone wish to use it without grab handles and want it as low as possible, just get Subplate and it will be flush with OEM seat and at the same angle. Very low profile.

There are pictures of different setups, side view, here - https://www.perunmoto.com/collectio...oducts/ktm-790-1x90-top-luggage-rack-subplate

It depends of your needs. Here is how I mount Mosko moto Reckless 80 on my bike. This way, it doesn't interfere with my butt and there is more than enough room for another small rollie on the back of the rack. Also, weight is centralized.

I don't use middle strap, but you can use any of the side slots for it.
