Day 258 - Pushup challenge at Daytona!
Day 259 - Out running the roads on a Grom
Phil is done at bike week and heading on vacation - Daily updates will be few
With Phil being on vacation and the updates predicted to be few, I will take this opportunity to discontinue posting updates.
It has been quite a ride to see his initial crash with the resulting injury and follow his amazing recovery up to this point.
He has accomplished quite a lot in his recovery from initially being paralyzed from the neck down to being able to walk, snowskate, shovel, ride a motorcycle, etc..
For those that wish to check for updates, the link to his instagram is below
Thanks for all the updates Zippy! I read every post as I was just as amazed as everyone else here. Shows what you can do when your mind is in a positive place. Hope to see him at a MOTA event this summer. Please give us a heads up if that happens.
If I hear he (and maybe Sarah as well) will be at a MOTA event I will try to let people know.
Thanks, Zippy. I appreciate your diligence.
Thanks for all the work Zippy. I'll miss seeing the updates.
All right you guys have guilted me into sharing one more. Phil just posted this one.
10 MONTHS - While Phil was on vacation he got nailed in the head with a ball, tweaked his neck
Day 272 - This is just too awesome I HAD to post it.
PHIL COMPETES IN A TRIALS EVENT!!!
I should have went, but it was cold. Glad you posted this, because I haven't seen an update since your last posting.

His daily updates have slowed a bit, probably because he is out and about more now.
OK had to post this one, Less than 1 year after his crash. and check this out!!!!
I have a friend that hit a deer while riding his Africa Twin in Kansas a few weeks ago. Crushed three vertebra in his neck, stretched & punctured his spinal cord, & various other injuries. Completely paralyzed for about thirty minutes till things started to come back. He's back in Jax in rehab & improving, but seeing this thread again really drives home what he's going through. Every little thing that he couldn't do yesterday but can today is a huge accomplishment. Like holding a fork. I can't imagine the excitement of being able to ride again.
Day 364 - just 1 day shy of a year and Phil pulls off....................................... a UNICYCLE ride!!!!!!!!
Impressive. Good for him. Tenacious P
Crap, now I have to get my unicycle out again and start practicing.
