hi raj, thank you for the promotion. my two bikes, xr200, are under going prev maint. the crf will not be available.i'll be using it on our upcoming trip down south. btw, there is a bike rental shop in angeles, pampanga, far though. they have different models to choose from. anyways, as i see it, the best option is to buy a brand new or low milage crf. a crf20L with about 10k mileage costs around php150-160. pero, d best is brand new pa rin.. :-) chirzzz!

Thanks rgon. Agree, Angeles is far. Haven’t found any used yet.

I went to motortrade makati yesterday and they have the L, likewise a RALLY but someone beat me to it.

after watching Itchy Boots on youtube it started to grow on me. also saw 1 on the street here.

have to admit that I’m also a honda guy. so a CRF450L would be ideal, or another dream.

I should just have brought my monkey 125 in my check in balikbayan box.

I went to the Yammy showroom in Mandaluyong and inquired about the T7. They know about it but there’s no word if they will bring it in. But I saw there Super Tenere.

hard to find a suitable bike and it was good Motortrade Munoz has one that was 3 weeks ago and i don't have my registration yet as of today. i was told it's illegal to ride it on the road until plated.

i like the 250 and the honda reliability. i was able to find someone to provide me a phone pic of the official registration and using is as a proof.

meantime, just doing the proper break-in and planning to ride it to infanta quezon this sunday.

    Congratulations on the new bike!

Please post up a few pics when you get a chance. There is nice scenery and some twisty roads on the way to Infanta.

that is marcos highway - malasique - infanta. lots of curves and hazards, such as loose dogs and crazy scooterists.

from Infanta, took 601, Real - Famy - Laguna- Sampaloc - Tanay. that is a great road except lots of people and animals on the side of the road.

will post pics from my gopro later.

    lol.

just one way to confuse the radar cameras.

think it's the registration receipt #

there are no registration plates issued and many plates are local shop made individually.

i haven't got my valid reg, against the dealer's advice, went ahead and rode mine. now about 1500 kms.

    i can't, and i wish it's a CRF450 Rally

it stays at my nephew's until i return next year.

haha. guilty as charged. it got cold and rained continuously once we made it to the Sierra Madre mountains on our way to Infanta Quezon; thus my only riding gear got soaked. luckily, the restaurant where we stopped has big thrash bags which we wore under our jackets enabling us to push on. can't wait for them to dry, no attgatt but we bought rain gear next morning....:D

This thread has been a great resource; just want to share my 8 day adventure ride in Northern PH.. specifically the Cordilleras.

Trying to ride as much dirt as possible with my XT225.
This ride should give you a feel on how its like touring or adventure riding in Northern PH.

Thanks for the welcome!.. been lurking ADVRider and learning as much as I can. My first adventure ride is renting a scooter from NICE-Bike in Angeles and rode it to Banaue got hooked and came back to NYC to get my Moto license.

I highly recommend riding up north specially the cordillera, your CRF Rally is perfect moto for PH ROADS (except in highway 400cc limit). Don't wait too long to explore - dirt mountain roads are being cemented but there are still some fun routes out there. RGON can chime in .. hes prolly more updated on the routes in that region.

Thanks for the compliment.. its a custom route designed to hit as much dirt or twisties as we can while we go up North..a lot of this was found by using studying google map in satellite mode and mapping out barangay roads.

Pangasinan - Itogon (via Philex Mine)
    Itogon - Bokod - Kabayan - Ambulalako lake - Tinoc - Hungduan - Banaue
    Banaue - Mayoyao - Aguinaldo - Natonin - Tabuk
Tabuk - Kabugao - Solsona ( ROUTE CLOSED DUE TO LANDSLIDE )
Kabugao - Pudtol - Claveria - Pagupud - Laoag City - San juan - pangasinan (national highway)

We also hit bessang pass to Sagada and back to Baguio. Another road is Villa Verde Trail going to Malico.

rednyc, thanks for highlighting the places to visit. only place i've been is Baguio. i'm adding the rest to my future rides.

if i could not find dirt or back roads, the twisties are just as good. we rode several of them and the biggest concern is lots of loose dogs on the road. head on a swivel and always have my 2 fingers on the front brake lever.
