After riding for a couple of miles and it was already rocky and had some challenges we continued to climb. We were in the second group of riders as we did split in to two to eliminate some of the early bottleneck that was sure to come. Here are a few action shots of riders and terrain we all so much enjoyed.

4play and PhxMan discussing the hill that is ahead.

And this is what they were looking at

PhxMan takes off and gets a little sideways and drops his ride but recovered quickly and off he goes.

Next was a rider from Steamboat Colorado joining in on the fun

It was a little slick here and his bike fell in to a rut

Help is on the way to get the bike back on track

Johnny_5 heading up the hill to our little rest spot

Followed by Big E, ybracing and DOD

I took off up the hill and after a couple of turns I ran in to this icy rocky patch. It was a little slick in spots on this climb and a few good riders either went down or slid completely in to the hill side.

After climbing this hill and a nasty rocky step section we came to another spot to rest once we were past the cattle guard.

We could actually go around this cattle guard and that is what I did.....but others had a different plan. It was awesome....

Here is Big E taking on one of the rocky sections getting through the creek
    [IMG]

This rider cheated and went down the creek to bypass the little rock gap

And here comes YZFCathy ripping up the rocks in awesome style
    [IMG]

Who in the hell parked the bike right in the way? oh hell, that was me....

After our break here the group fired up the bikes and off they went. I was trying to get gathered up and was back on the chase when I somehow missed the trail and found myself going over this edge....:eek1

since no one way around I had to atleast get a picture of this to let everyone know in the future that this is NOT the best way to land in a wash.

I did some damage to my left hand and today it is really sore. I passed on todays ride but I sure missed being out there with all of you. I am ready to see the pictures from todays ride in Chivas.

Here are a few photos at the lunch stop and one of all the bikes parked outside.

It was actually 822 pictures! But I forgot I had 13 from a ride I did on Thursday, so it's really 809. Hardly Nightstalker-esque, but I'll get to sorting and start a RR soon!

Allyn, good work on setting this up. Here's my sorry collection of pictures...

After we made it up the hill, I take off with three riders that aren't really interested in the masochism of the Chiva loop. I want to get ahead of the other guys to get some photos and pick a nice waterbar...

( I won't post the 7 empty frames that it took me to figure out to pre-focus and have the camera ready for the shot as each rider came through.)

We head up the Chiva loop and I stop at the point where we're going to turn around to avoid the nasty stuff and Becktastic rolls to a stop and starts to pick up pieces. After about 30 minutes, 20' of Tellydoug's bailing wire and a wooden splint, we're back on the trail:

We almost made it back out to the road on the first repair, but it wasn't to be. The first splint broke and Tellydoug had to splint the splint:

After the beers and deep fired fungus I made it home to find this:

Where is the oil on my right boot coming from? :scratch

I didn't realise you had such a mess with the exhaust. Nice to have the kind of people we ride with as they truely can get you through most anything. Nice pics of the little jump.

No, with 20 something people, by the time we got to the steep little rock climb, it was decided to cut that out so we could make lunch at the Oracle Inn. As they say, next time.

Big thanks to Emerson.Biguns, Seabee1 and Tellydoug for their patience with me and my disintegrating bike. I'm in the process of ordering up a slew of parts and Zeb 2.0 should emerge in a couple weeks. :lol3

We can rebuild him, stronger, faster...

I think he is way back there because the 50 rounds of ammo he had for his sidearm weighed him down :clap
