Our inmates up in the Rockies have this going and thought it could be fun here too.

Here's how it works...post a photo preferably WITH a moto from somewhere in the southwest -- AZ/NM/SoCal and other inmates guess the location. The inmate who guesses correctly gets to post the next photo, and so on. Its a light way to learn about new places, show off some travels and share your photos, especially when you're stuck at work, on a plane, etc.. The best photos include bikes! :) (Thanks @Greg@RME for the orig idea.)

    Rules >

    - When it's your turn to post your pic, be sure it's somewhere in the SW (AZ/NM/SoCal), preferably WITH moto in sight.

    - Be clear on what you're looking for in inmates' answers.
(For example "xx road" or "xx mineshaft" vs. "xx area". Feel free to drop hints if needed & try not to make it TOO obscure; i.e. be sure there are enough identifiable landmarks/terrain/structure etc in site for folks to recognize. )

    - Don't post a photo unless it's your turn! If you guess a location correctly, then you're up.

    - If a photo/location goes for sometime (2-3 days?) without being revealed after a few hints, please share the location and either post up another or toss out the next turn to someone else. If the most recent winner doesn't take his/her turn within ~2 days, the challenge is open to anyone to post their photo.

    - And, hey, if ya want to keep some trails/areas "secret", recommend don't share them. Game/pics open to bigger ADV bikes as well as smaller trail/dirtbikes. (And, personal request, don't cross-post these on other sites for ATV, Jeeps, etc....thx :)

I’ll get the ball rolling. First up, a "softball"...

Name the spot or road from which this pic was taken.

I can't believe no one has posted yet! I'll start: name the area (and if you really know the place, the campground :D).

So i've got a bazzilion pics in my SmugMug and I am struggling to find something suitable for this thread :scratch

Lacking originality today, guess I will stick with the rustic rock structure theme...
Name the nearby road or describe the approximate location of this house.

Guilty.......I talked myself out of my initial guess and deleted.
The stone building looks like a place in Death Valley, but it reminds me of a place near Seligman? Pretty vague, thats all I got??

looks like a thousand other little places out in the desert, its going to take something a little more noteworthy to keep this going if its going to generate any interest outside of your local riding buddies area.

Well, I didn't know it by that name, but I do see a Rock Spring right nearby, so you are correct sir :nod

The "Rock House" is just off the "Old Mojave Road" (clues above couldn't have been more obvious) in the New York Mtns east of Kelso.

Seems like we've got a bit of overlap here w/the photos. Let's go w/ @VanXR 's pic for now...... who knows where this is?? Name the spot! And if VanXR confirms, then it's your turn (or if ya don't have one, then toss it back to me if ya like). Hope e'ryone is having a great weekend....and maybe got in a good ride (or two or three or heck still out on the bike!)
