Michaux at the overlook on Hogshead Rd.
A couple from today's forest road shakedown ride of my new-to-me Ulysses. It's a little dirtier now then when I rode it home Saturday. Better tires for the dirt wouldn't hurt, but it did great as is.
Being from Bedford County I've ridden by Caladonia State Park since the 60's and never went in to it. Been all around it, quite beautiful. Now, after your reports have settled into my feeble brain I'm getting ready to take a day and head down there. Thanks for the motivation that I needed. lol
I had one of those. is this a 2008?
Heading up to Michaux on a white DR650 in a few hours. I don't stop much when riding solo but I'll try to post a decent picture later.
Say hey if ya see me!
A break in the shade. Y'all know where this is
Great pics. That body of water is????
Long Pine Reservoir.
We rode through Michaux State Forest yesterday and up to Kings Gap. The leaves are at their peak and will be beautiful up to Sunday's rain.
Weather was too nice to NOT ride Michaux today.
How muddy are the roads. Thinking of riding there on the bicycles tomorrow.
Figures. I'm in Ft. Worth visiting my son and his family, and it snowed here yesterday.
Not too bad. We saw several people who were bicycling today.
And I'm in Houston working on DR's instead of riding them.
I didn't go off highway, but it was really nice at King's Gap today.
Took this picture the day after Christmas. Was chilly but an awesome day at Michaux. We got maybe 130 miles in coming from Frederick. This was at the end of Ridge Rd IIRC.
Looks like a great area to ride on!
I miss riding Michaux some days. I had a blast there
