I'm thinking of coming out there tomorrow, but don't really know the park/area (I'm near Philadelphia). Is there a good place to park with a small trailer? Anyone riding tomorrow? Are there any known online maps of roads/trails you are allowed to ride on?

    Thanks!

Buzzard’s Rock overlook today. The trees are really greened up now.

Dark Hollow overlook. Quite overcast today.

Michaux was crazy busy again today. Couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a parked Subaru. Did not see any other riders.

I did get a great ride in today at Michaux-about 80 miles all together. Only saw 2 other riders.

And one of them left something behind, courtesy of the embedded rocks on the north end of Ridge Road. :lol3

Hey everyone. Looking to get my new KTM 790 Adventure(S) properly broken in. Have never really been up here...just through the main roads on my old Vstrom.
I'd be riding up from northern virginia and just wander around on the stock Avon Trailriders, so nothing gnarly.
Question...Can anyone suggest a cool area to camp that I could ride into? Secluded or scenic would be great. Thanks

If you want a shower, camp in Pine Grove Furnace State Park in the Michaux State Forest, which even has a few secluded tent spots. Don't ignore Tuscarora State Forest on the other side of the valley, which has primitive places to camp with views (e.g., on the eastern end of Bower Mountain Road where it reaches the top of the ridge at 40°17'11.7"N 77°28'12.9"W).
