I posted a little ride on the West forum and all of Phoenix showed up to ride it! Some riders showed up en-route, and some left early. Here's my best guess at the list:

    Nightstalker - KTM 950
    Javalina - KLR 650
    Yardstick (2up) - KTM 950
    AZMike - KTM 990
    KTMSER - KTM 950SE
    PaulGinAZ - KLR650
    Garthe - BMW HP2
    Johnny5 - KTM 690
    BigE - KTM 990
    4Play - KTM 990
    CrozB (+Gulliver) - Suzuki DL-1000
    Codewheeney - BMW 1150GS
    Skaife - BMW 650X
    Seabee1 - BWM 1200GS ADV
    kbblue - KLR 650
    Dert Gerl - BMW 800GS
    Rider351 - BMW KLR 650
    oldtimertc - XR 650L
    Toonces - KLR 650
    SomeGuyonaDucati
    And some KLR's I think I missed.

    We met at McDonalds!!

Toonces was our first victim. His KLR started running funny and he pulled out of the ride.

Riding hard in the deep sand had my coolant overflow boiling over a bit.

Big group! And this wasn't everyone!

7-Springs and Bloody Basin intersection. Most of us or our bikes are in the shot.

A few of us split off at Cordes Jct and headed to Crown King. It rained.

And there was a lot of lightning.

Some hail that made it inside.

But it cleared up just long enough to make a run for home.

These little guys were hanging out outside the Mill.

Bunch of very wet machines. They almost got cleaned.

Well, the batteries in my camera died shortly after lunch so I don't have any pics of the double track through the mountains in the rain ... that was fun! What a great day of riding! It was nice to meet everyone! Thanks for putting the plan together Terry!

Here's out meet up point at Seven Springs ...

The riders out front were supposed to stop and re-group at the FS44 split. They didn't so I rode 44 alone. I felt all alone back there.

FS44 is a short loop back to Bloody Basin Road, probably less than 10 miles. It's not traveled too often.

"Rugged Well" is located at the apex of the loop.

A couple of hills like this (up and down) were making me plenty nervous!

The second half of the loop was a lot of first gear and clutch.

I was so very happy to see these guys waiting for me at the end of the loop. (Photo courtesy Codewheeney)

I stopped to make sure this fellow was alright at the Agua Fria National Monument kiosk. He was trying to draw my attention to something...

Storms brewing in the distance. Of course, that's our planned direction.

Lightning struck the instant before I released the shutter on this shot of Crozb rounding the curve. Missed it by that much!

After much ADVRider correspondence with Garthe, I finally met him, er, face to face. I was standing on my tippy toes when I took this.

Have you ever seen 13 bikes getting gas at the same time???
