Looks like a fantastic ride. Is this still a good ride in May or is the weather wrong already?

    Let the mixing begin! :lol3

The story from Group 2's perspective...

    The gathering.

The confusion - we already passed a group 1 rider (refokus) waiting for lost group 1 (DR650Eddy & other?) riders.

ybracing decides to investigate the holdup of the rest of the group 2 riders. It turns out Crilly had a fall and turned back. Meanwhile group 3 catches up and the mixing begins.

Shortly after we get caught back up to group 3. More waiting to find out that Reidy008's handlebar clamp is only connected to his triple clamp by one nut! :eek1
    [IMG]

Group 2's attrition rate is climbing, but we're still at 9 or so... I think?! :huh

The "easy" way still has a nice little stair step downhill to keep it interesting.

With the flat, we ended up being the last group to Martinez Cabin.

The ever-evolving trail in is a little rocky...

With only one nut holding the bars to the triple clamps, the other nut (between the seat and handlebars) has to *will* the bike through the rocky terrain.

Great pics! That was easily in one of the top three rides I've ever done in 36 years of riding. Had a great time. The scenery, camaraderie, challenge, were all top of the line.
