I didn't take a whole lot of pictures today. We decided to take a trail I've always ridden by, but never tried.

Our day started with lots of ups and downs. Slowred and Mark.

    refokus and Ducati125

refokus was a bit under the weather today.

As I said, there were LOTS of ups and downs. The downs seemed a little worse than the ups.

Mark and Ducati125 and I were out in front and we stopped to let the other guys catch up. We waited for a longer than usual amount of time and were starting to get worried when refokus came rolling in.

He had flipped the bike over on one of the nasty uphills and bent his handlebars.

And the worst part, he busted his beloved GPS 60CSX.

We sent Slowred and refokus down a side wash in an attempt to find an easy way back to the trucks.

The remaining 1/3 of a dirty dozen continued on to "the waterfall". Upon arrival, some investigation of best lines was conducted.

This is the only picture I took of a rider coming up the waterfall - Ducati125.

But, I did get some video...

I only have a few pictures of this ride, but I am not able to find the card adapter to load them up :ddogit's here somewhere.

This was a fun challenging ride, well the part that I was able to get through. Thanks for all the help from everyone and to Slowred for getting me back to the truck. Now I need to continue to look for the card reader.

The trail after the waterfall is probably tougher than the waterfall itself.

Ducati125 had tweaked his knee climbing up and down at the waterfall, so we made a beeline back to the staging area. Once there, we found that Slowred and refokus still hadn't returned!!! Azflying and I mounted back up to go look for them. We rode their anticipated escape route all the way back to where we had left them. We actually hiked down this trail we thought they may have taken to their doom, but luckily, no broken bikes or bodies were found. So, we turned around and hauled the mail back to the trucks. They pulled into the parking lot a few minutes after we had left, we had just missed each other.

With the team back together, it was time for burgers, beer, and TEQUILA!!!

Only 17 miles on the Waterfall loop. Another 14 miles on the search and rescue loop.

Noticed Terry (SlowRed) rode his "old" bike today. What I realized is that if you ride with NS you have to have at least 2 bikes. The NS Bike and the "Not a Hike-A-Bike Bike", sort of the show bike. Damage is always to be expected when doing a NS ride.

I never thought about it that way, but two small bikes would come in handy. Either that or a quick turnaround on the partst that get ordered the next day. I almost have everything ordered, oh man I forgot the throttle cables. Back to the order board. :lol3

Great riding you guys. You should just name the NS ride "How I can beat my self up in 17 miles" by Ed Norton.

Keep up the good work. Skip

    I found my card adapter, after tearing my home office apart. Here are a few photos of the day. I only took a few;

After climbing a really steep nasty section of hill, Nightstalker continued on toward the top. Almost making it about 3/4 of the way up

Turning around and heading back down to us. I am glad he turned around

I had a great time hanging out with the ADV guys. Thanks for letting me tag along.

refokus, sorry you were feeling under the weather, on another day you'll tear up those trails. Also, sorry about sending you down the wrong wash for the "easy" way back.

Had a great time ridin with you all and meeting you all. Will for sure look you up again Terry when I get back in March and one of the first things I will do is go out and practice that waterfall untill I get it right. You guys made it look too easy. Hope you are feeling better Brad.

    Cheers, Mark
