My buddy Jeremy led Javalina and I on a great 30 mile, 3 hour tour of the Sycamore OHV area in the Tonto National Forest yesterday. Even though it was only 95 degrees, humidity levels were up and the SUN was blazing down upon us, it was really HOT!

I don't usually start my ride reports with a video, but I'm particularly proud of this one, so here it is. Don't forget to bump it up to 720p if you got the bandwidth.

Javalina was geared up to go!

I didn't see much of Jeremy, he's FAST! I was mostly following the dust storm he left behind.

We started with lots of hills and rocks.

Testosterone levels were running high and no one would admit defeat, so we pressed onward. It wasn't far before I was stuck again.

I rolled off the bike and hid in the shade it provided.

A lot of effort and a sticky trials tire got me off this rock pile and up to the top of the hill.

Just when we thought we were at the top...

We sent Jeremy ahead to scout.

We decided against that route...and headed back in search of some sweet flowy singletrack.

After some sweet singletrack (no time for pictures) and some fast jeep roads, we returned to the trucks with 30 miles and 3 hours under our belts.

Great Video Nightstalker! It really shows the terrain and the difficulty of Sycamore. I went on a few trips in that area and even though it was extremely tough, I am glad we were not on any of that you found. :eek1

It was a long tough climb and the tempertaure was still rising.
Nightstalker was in need of a little recovery time.

Jeremy S sacrificed his foot on a long down hill to save his bike.
    His bike said thanks. :kurt:doh

Oh damn, NS has the rope on his pack...when you saw that you knew it had to be a tough ride.

PS: Terry, what is with the new clown suit? :ear (I bet it was a closeout somewhere)
