Slowred put out the call for a Bradshaw Mountain ride from Prescott. 4play, Refocus, and myself eagerly answered the call and headed for the cool pines of Prescott National Forest. Arriving at the staging area, we found it overrun with howling hounds on a search and rescue training exercise.

We escaped the staging area without a single tire getting peed on and headed for the wet and wild beyond.

    Refocus makes a big splash.

Normally dry, there was plenty of running water to be had today.

4play wheelies up "the hill" from the last Howlin' at the Moon dualsport ride out of Prescott.

Slowred takes the dry line. I guess that's how he kept his feet dry in those shiny new Sidi boots.

We were chasing these dark, dirty clouds all day, how we stayed out of any heavy downpours, I don't know.

We regrouped and headed down lower Dandrea. It was way rockier than I had remembered.

Dandrea hooks up with the awesome, awesome, awesome jeep road from Big Bug Mesa down to Senator Highway. We rode north on Senator past Palace Station to Venezia Trail.

Slowred working a line around some deadfall.

There may have been some question on whether we should continue.

Refocus and I help by taking pictures.

The 4 of us participate in a team building exercise by pulling the deadfall off the trail. Thank god it was downhill.

Venezia is some mega awesome singletrack. The clouds parted to help celebrate this special moment.

Awesome RR Nightstalker! (As if you know any other kind)

It was a fantastic day of dodging mud puddles. I will add a couple of pics:

Normally, these trails are dry. We were following littles creeks all day.

The hill off Bannie Mine trail was slippery and wet. It snuck up on you as we were all picking our way through a foot of water and suddenly had to grab the throttle.

4Play decided he only needed one wheel on this hill.

Nightstalker kept his bike clean by only getting the rear tire muddy

That was a lot of fun yesterday. Realizing that it's been 4 months since riding the 450 I was way out of riding condition for most of them trails. Just goes to show I have to get out more and ride.

Thanks to all for a great time as always riding with you!
