Except for the Hill at Sheep Bridge, the going was easy and FAST!

That would change once we took the Red Creek Option.

Your eyes are not deceiving you, that is WATER in a creek in Arizona! There's a first for everything.

We were FLYING down Red Creek.

When the trail isn't going straight down the center of the creek, it criss crosses from side to side.

Red Creek takes you back to the Verde River.

We went looking for the airstrip, we found this instead.

Who would put an airstrip in the Wilderness? Something is amiss.

Red Creek dead ends at the Verde River, that means we'd have to ride back, upstream.

Terry, it's funny reading one of your ride reports now having ridden most of the route myself. You're missing pictures of the best parts! :lol3

If you don't mind, this might supplement for those interested in the rest of the ride and specifically the sheep's bridge and horseshoe dam sections.

(Don't be a bumblefuck like me and ride off the edge though)

Only an idiot would ride the Horseshoe Dam, Sheep Bridge loop backwards,
or at least that is what I was told :D :D

Or--maybe we are just real tough---yeh, that sounds better.

People watched us going up that hill from across the river and said later there was no way
they were leaving till either we died---or got up the hill---said it was way better than watching
    anything on TV.

    Man that was tough.
Glad I did it tho. Thanks for the memories !!!

Crossing sheep bridge on you motorcycle causes absolutely no harm to the bridge--no more than walking.
But--------------I can see some idiot (our government) making it impossible with a steel bar or something to that
effect and a million dollars worth of surveillance cameras. Yeh---that's what they'll do----why---because it makes no sense
and cost's the taxpayers lots of money----off my soapbox

Red Creek looks fun, I'll have to try it sometime. I got to the bridge and found no one around so after checking out the hot spring I headed up to the Marble Mine for some samples. After playing around on some cool little trails near it I headed home via I-17. Got home pretty late and plenty tired. I have got to finish the skid plate this week so I stop being so cautious with the ninja.

    Any shots of the swim?

No, Mil missed a turn out of the creek & found a deep spot. According to Bret the tail pipe went under, but he kept it running. He was behind the camera man, so no pics.
