It was a 450 kind of day...

Met up with Yardstick to ride some AWESOME single track and do some exploring. We would start at the Tonto National Forest Wildcat OHV staging area near Carefree, AZ.

We were so busy riding, I didn't get my normal 100+ pictures, but I did manage a few worth posting.

Yardstick warming up for the tough stuff.

    Perfect conditions today!

Camp Creek awaits our arrival below.

    But how to get there??

I say just let gravity do the hard part.

And you'll be there in two shakes of a lambs tail!

Yardstick followed me down this really cool wash, until it ended.

Found the right trail, nasty rocky uphill. No pics sorry. I did manage a picture of the way out, just before the bike ejected me!

Yardstick makes the hill look like a piece of cake.

We found another trail out of the wash and headed for the Verde river.

    Coming down.

We chatted with the CRF250X and XT225 riders for a bit. Good times!

Can you identify this part? I'm thinking it's the horn off his bike?

    But wait, there's more!

    Nightstalker gets some air.

View from the top of a hill toward Fountain Hills. You can just see the fountain going off.

Since we were moving through the singletrack pretty quick with slow cameras, you'll have to put your imagination to work on this one. Here's Nightstalker:

And here's the piece of trail he was just on:

Here's a series of Nightstalker coming down the hill into the wash
    [IMG]

There are MUCH deeper ruts on other hills that would get us into the wash. This one was fairly mild.

No exaggeration here. It's really as steep as it looks.

How did that go, Nightstalker? "The thing about downhills is, you will always get to the bottom." :evil
    [IMG]

I'll add to that quote... "The thing about this downhill is, you will get to the bottom where you can finally pick the seat from between your cheeks." :lol3

I was looking down at this hill thinking that there wasn't a good line. Nighstalker was doing good though. I was just about to take a run at it and looked down again to see the CRF450X clawing its way down the hill on its side. My slow camera strikes again and here's Nightstalker picking up the pieces and reattaching the fuel line!

Later in the cholla gardens he's still charging.

Here's a picture of Nightstalker taking a picture of some guys who wish they could take a picture of us! :lol3
