We've been having a wet winter in Phoenix and riding conditions couldn't be better! I met up with a bunch of inmates today to do some little bike single track. AZMike - KTM 300 Yardstick - KTM 450 Mil T - KTM 530 Brett T - Honda 650R tparker105 - Honda 450X Nightstalker - Honda 450X Heavy rains and thunder storms passed through last night and ominous clouds lingered throughout the day threatening a repeat. First order of business was crossing Mesquite Wash, which normally is not a problem. But, today, it was running strong. AZMike shows the way. tparker105 Yardstick follows while Mil and Brett try a different line. Yardstick tparker105 chooses the better of the two lines. Nightstalker picks poorly and gets stuck. With a little help, he's ready to go again. Off and away.
tparker105 Trails were awesome! Brett was muscling that 650R through some tough trails. Yardstick Freight train.
I'm am tired sore and content. This was an awesome area and only 45 minutes from Payson. We will be back down often. Here's some of a slot that I will aply call FAT MAN MISERY. I think Nightstalker has a picture or two of me getting through here hence the name. Tom P makes it look easy.
Some of the trail was washed out. Yardstick takes the A line. This is one of the coolest places I've ever ridden. Mil Tom Brett Yardstick
some other random shots. My gopro stopped working today so no video. Here's various of the single track.
Nobody in this one. Everyone here. Ahhhh, the sweet smell of 2 STROKE. <object width=640 height=480><param name="movie" value="https://cdn.smugmug.com/ria/ShizVidz-2010012201.swf" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="flashVars" value="s=aT03ODM0NjQ3NDkmaz13dG42VyZhPTExMTc1MzU3X3FLaG9wJnU9TmlnaHRzdGFsa2Vy" /><embed src="https://cdn.smugmug.com/ria/ShizVidz-2010012201.swf" flashVars="s=aT03ODM0NjQ3NDkmaz13dG42VyZhPTExMTc1MzU3X3FLaG9wJnU9TmlnaHRzdGFsa2Vy" width=640 height=480 type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object> YO YO YO!!
The descent. Oh my that looks tight. Tom likes it tight. Brett says this trail was Crack a Lackin! And he's OUT!
Thanks for sharing the RR with us. Looks like you guys had a blast. Some of the chutes you went through look extremely nasty. Also like the cactus as pylons for your turns!
But wait, THERE'S MORE! How wide was the birth canal?? When are you most likely to crash? About 6 seconds after a long break.
