I promised that we'd quit riding when the first participate passed out from the heat. I did think that it would take more than 4 miles though.

It's June and summer is in full effect in Arizona. The weatherman was promising temps in the 100's for the weekend.

Only 2 ADVRiders joined me today...

    Cyberdos - Suzuki DRZ 400
    4play - KTM 450
    Nightstalker - Honda 450x

I threw Cyberdos to the dogs and took on the rocky ridge trail. Peeking over.

Stuck on the rocks, nothing that a little push wouldn't cure.

    4play makes it look easy.

Cyberdos pulled a 180 trying to climb this slippery hill.

No problems on the 2nd attempt.

4play straight up on the first shot.

Cyberdos had a run in with a cactus with some remaining hitch hikers.

Cyberdos on the ground again, this time it was all Nightstalker's fault.

And he managed to pick up some additional cactus hitch hikers.

The boys humored me and allowed me to return them to the stage area along a moderate root.

This is the last time I go on a Nightstalker ride! I seem to say that every time I'm in the parking lot loading up all bruised and battered. :lol3

I really have to get myself into good physical shape to do these things. I was pooped after just a few miles in and after a tough section I smacked my ankle with a boulder that seemed to have popped out of nowhere. It hit me so hard I had to stop and catch my breath because I thought I was going to throw up in my helmet. I've got a nice bruise on my inner right ankle but nothing seems to be broken. I was completely off my game after that though.

Terry, my man. I love you but I'm gonna have to skip your rides for a while. I just can't hang. :cry Loading up a video now and will post shortly.
