Hey Surfdog, Excellent job on the switch. Nice touch that it lights up in blue. Would you happen to have the Radio Shack part #? Ernie

Hey Andy, I got your message. I'll bring a light kit along for you to the BMW national next weekend. Look for me in the venders area. I'll have my olive drab KLR 650 with the twin headlight setup there. Hope to see a few other KTM's there as well. Ernie

got the kit and installed it last night. aimed it then it started to rain. They worked great lighting up the ditches and provided light where the euro headlamp failed to in front of the bike. I was skeptic of the 35 watt lights, but they do just fine. I will post photos this week when i have time. total install time took me about 4 hours.
    thanks Ernie

    Ernie,

Do you sell any bracket kits to mount lights to the crash bars on a 990 Adventure?

I purchased the KTM aux light kit but it doesn't install correctly on a 990. So now the option is to install them on the crash bars near the front forks.

    Thanks.

I still make the aux light kit for the 950. They made a chancge on the 990. KTM moved a electronics box into the area under the headlight where the aux lights shine through. I do not have a 990 available to me to find out if this box can be moved or not. If the box can be relocated my light kit would work on the 990. I can be reached at dakotabeemer@hotmail.com
    Thanks. 2HE

Any news on whether this fits on the 990 yet?

    Take 2

I just went and pulled off my screen, headlight and some of the side fairing. This electrical box is quite large with a lot of wires, it would be tough to relocate it and the wiring neatly without a lot of effort.

I like this solution for the 950 but I think I'll have to find a different solution for the 990.

Looks like I'll consider this kit for the 950 until someone retrofits it to the 990. I still have a couple of these Piaa aux light kits on hand. The bracket is also available for those that wish to use their own lights. It's best to reach me at dakotabeemer@hotmail.com 2HE

PMed ya. What crash bar mounts are those? I'm looking at the PIAA mounts made for crash bars, but they look too fat to mount anywhere other than on the very inside of the bar away from the tank.

    Thanks.
