Mission, BC, on our way south to WA state for a 2 week road trip this past summer. We had to stop for one more Timmy's fix before we crossed over at Sumas.
3 months ago, here in Kingston, they went to the 'new' sizes. Which are the american sizes, as you pointed out. They say that the rest of Canada will see the change in the new year. Some consummate corporate arrogance right there, they're going to annoy every single customer they have. When you order a large double-double, you'll get an extra large. And to top it all off, what is considered a canadian institution is going with their american subsidiaries' standards. Some marketing genius sold them on this idea, and he really doesn't understand canadians. Pissing me off enough to take some of my money and spend it at their competitor's instead. A coffee here and a coffee there, and it adds up.
I think its already happened to some extent in Toronto's downtown core where the small is a medium. :eek1 Fortunately, my Extra Large is still an Extra Large.....
Now that's dedication to riding! A farkled bike, toasty hands and the open road....who cares about the white stuff eh?
Ice racing? BTDT, was fun for a while, but too much work, and I'm lazy. I just walk out to the garage, put on my gear, and go riding. Instant gratification.
Agreed! Here's a picture of my old VFR 800 @ Belfountain in the middle of January...just had to get out and ride...looking forward to making similar trips om my F8GS...
On Canada Day I rode out to the 'local' Tim's to celebrate. This one is about 50 miles from me in Grand Haven, MI.
Got to have it! Besides, the 50 miles there and 50 miles back is necessary to keep the bike running in tip-top condition....
