I'd take the top one in a heartbeat. Maybe better front forks/brakes and you would have a genuinely usable bike. The bottom one is tokenism at its finest, but I'm sure someone thinks it's new/awesome......

:thumbup ^^^the top photo - a very nice job dirtifying the GS 1200 motor...

A shorter tank/longer saddle/ergo seat/tank junction (so rider can achieve a forward riding position/for cornering) would make it a real contender I think. :thumbup

    Ridiculous design.
    It'll never take off.

Just plane silly really. But props to the engineer, seems like he did it Wright brothers. Doesn't look like he's winged it at all :thumb

I wish my H2 looked like that.
At least it’s the same colour.

Love the period number plate mount.

I have the original steel holder in the spares box, that is a plastic copy, I will eventually put something on it when I find something I like.

Pull the H2 out and restore it before parts in the USA get ridiculously expensive, they are already close to being out of reach there, they already are here in OZ.

Nice work on the rebuild even has the front number plate holder most of them got chucked in the bin when the front number plates where banned. Do you have the rest of the carry rack.

You sit at the traffic lights, blipping the throttle. Heat builds up and when you take off, airflow instantly turns your skin to pork crackling. But I love the sheer stupidity of it all.

Surely the odd run at a "classic" motocross event can't hurt, everybody loves a survivor bike, but it seems all a bit pointless to merely stare at it and conjecture as to what it's like to ride. I bet it would be a hoot.

I do but not the carry rack you might think, those brackets you see I made and I have a Ventura rack to go on them, I have since taken them off the brackets to have them chromed, they are not ideal but they work OK so far, I don't think they would take any weight for a long trip though.

The H2 is not really a touring bike, they aren't very comfortable and the fuel range is pretty poor with a 16ltr tank, if you can get 140ks you're doing well, that includes reserve, soon as you start giving some (ie) overtaking and so on, the range nearly halves and 140ks quickly becomes 100ks.

So planning a ride includes looking for fuel stops

The holy grail of LC8's... ^^^

where it all started for the 950 Adventure...

that is Meoni's hand built factory bike... like those of Sala and Roma's - you can see there is so much that directly translated into the production version... I belive that is what mad the 950/990 Adventure such a success.
