ATGATT not, but the M/C seed planted at an early age, maybe 55 years ago... From left, big brother No1, No4, No2 and No3 (me)... My silly hat and pants by Mum. The old man's Maicoletta scooter, wish it had survived! I can remember being totally and utterly mesmerised by such a machine, the look of it, the noise it made and the smell! half a century+ later... Motorcycles.
I know where there's a pallet layer of clapped out 2hp Villiers pump motors that would suit that. So Frenchy, so chic. It does have a certain style though.
The MZ ISDT/ISDE Trophy bikes were soooo "retro" cool with their fully enclosed chain guard system, non-linkage rear suspension, aircooled 2 stroke engines, conventional forks and drum brakes... long after other manufacturers had gone, the linkage, watercooled, USD and disc route. DDR style.
My daily commute as a young ,un Nowra to port Kembla , in the good old days , No dui No speed cameras No brains Berry to Kiama was known as the TT road ......❤️
Ahh yes the minnamurra bends , I remember one morning whipping thru there doing a ton , and a Po lice car came past lights flashing ... I turn up the wick .. Was an escort for swimming pool / low loader No time for rumination .. Just. Enuff tolerance between gaurd rail and pool .... Good old days .
interesting XTZ750 Super Ténéré based bike. Not a whole lot left of the original frame. Swing arm, engine mounts and the front section from what I can see When the going gets tough, the tough get lost, preferably on a XTZ750
Ah yes, the old TT Berry to Gerringong! A certain Berry local was known to hand a certain W Gardner his arse on that road!!
Undoubtedly the most heavily modified XTZ750 I've seen as well... Borrows heavily from the WRF ergo's. Extensive rear subframe, tank/seat, suspension/geometry changes. Would love to see some footage of it in action.
When I lived in Kiama , a few of us had time trials from Addison's Garage down to Bomaderry via Berry and back via Gerroa round trip . Some scary things went down with some wild riding , I Still am amazed that all of us who had a real go at the best time are still alive 30 + years later .
