Nope, still have my Silver DCT, just like yours. 36,000 miles on it now. I sold the Triumph 800XC after it spit me off with a tank-slapper.

Going to head out for a leisurely ride tomorrow as long as it's not down pouring. Going to be on my WR250r if anyone else wants to tag along. Might head over to Forked River Mountain from Atsion to explore that area.

I went out yesterday. Puddles weren’t nearly as big as I was expecting but plenty of pine needles and run off from all the rain we got. Sand was perfect and not too deep.

Sunset “cruise” back to philly tonight. In between red dots it pretty much all legal woods (just a few slab sections)
70 miles in total and conditions are perfect right now. Adjustments.jpg

Hey, anyone remember when the 1st PB 500 took place? I found this shirt at the bottom of my draw tonight. The 1st?

I'm heading to the pine barrens Saturday morning for some exploring. Looks like all camp sights are booked. What options do I have to camp in the PB without renting a tent sight? Can I just park along a sandrsand and set up camp? Will we get hassled?

    Thanks

It’s illegal to camp anywhere but at a site in the PB. I know some folks here have land, maybe they will allow you to set up.
Buuuuut, if you strike out. You can pretty much, illegally, rough camp anywhere you want that is off the beaten path. I would probably go tentless or just a solo tent. If you get caught you could get a warning...or a really hefty fine.
Also, if you’re going primitive, please don’t have a fire, it’s too dangerous this time of year. And go do your business at a campsite. We have a high water table and, really, no one wants dook foot

Though I concur the amount of rain we're getting right now should dramatically reduce fire risks.

Got it. Yep, i'm not looking to break the rules. I think we found a spot in a near by private campground.

Can you recommend some easy riding roads in the PB? Or are most of the legal roads pretty wide / flat? There are 3 of us. None have ridden a ton of dirt lately.

Is there a easier rout people take for some sightseeing / practice?

PS. not sure if this group still rides down there but a few years back i rode the PB with the S.O.F (slow old farts) LOL

    Thanks

Wow, that's a beautiful back yard!

How does that rain affect the sand roads?

Thanks we love it here. Not what we expected when we were moving to NJ.

Generally speaking the rain tamps down the sand making it easier to pass/more traction.

But high water can complicate that in some places.

Hey all, I'm from Gloucester County and I'm new here. Both with this forum and ADV riding. I'm the only person I know with an adventure bike, so I figured this would be the place to introduce myself. I have about 500 miles on my R1250GSA and looking to get dirty. I have 10's of K miles on bikes, but only the ones that like pavement. I also have a 02 K1200RS.

I definitely drank the BMW Kool-Aid. I've been a tech at a BMW dealer (cars) for 15 years and it's the only thing I'll drive.
