Yep it's as dry as it's ever been. Took a quick ride on my R1200GS & tough conditions for a noob on a Vstrom. Hope you went easy on him.

He better not fall 6 times on the NEVA16 ride as that terrain won't be as friendly to him or his bike like our sugar sand :muutt
Hopefully he got some good experience that will pay dividends

I will be in cape may courthouse from 7/2 through 7/9. Bringing my 990 with me. Anyone interested in some early morning rides? Any day works. I'm planning to go out early on Sunday 7/3....

I might be up for that! Went out yesterday in the rain and hit sections of TNJT...good stuff.

I was gonna say the same thing. Wife and I went out yesterday around belleplain. Stayed on easy main gravel roads and it was hot.

    Another time...

For those that don't like riding in the heat (like me); I occasionally ride in the evening
when the temps are lower. I usually start around 6PM at the Wawa and ride for 2
or 3 hours. The last time I rode in the dark - actually quite pleasant.

I will probably go out next week - I advertize the ride on the "other" thread (SOF PB ride).

The weather took a turn for slightly cooler. Low 80's now for the weekend.

Anyone riding today? I don't have knobbies yet but I'm fine on hard pack or gravel. Was thinking about heading north on 206 and catching the TNJT and run it south. Maybe pick up the TNJT in Middle Valley off of High Bridge-Califon Rd. (That's up past I-78)

Leon, you have to get up earlier! I had already gotten three hours of riding in by 11:30! Could have met you around Clinton road and we could have done some riding. Split Rock reservoir has some pretty neat "mixed surface" and gravel roads. Tried out the "G" mode on the AT today!

Lol!! I was up at 9 but yeah, I'm bad about wanting to do things last minute at times. Looks like you had a great time! I'll have to check out that area.

If I'd seen that earlier today I'd have been happy to putter around Pottersville and the environs with you; closer and nicer than the shore at this time of year.

Haha! Thanks. I would say that I had perfect timing. Didn't even notice it until a friend of mine pointed it out yesterday lol.
