Im not marrying it and the 2019 125 might be all new and F.I. The 18.5 FE is going to debut a bunch of changes, new body plastics believe being one. There is a method to the madness.
There comes a point when you come to a fork in the road. You see a fat chick on CRF250L on one fork, and a sign in simple letters saying "Chinese bike" on the other fork and you think to yourself, what's the worst that can happen?
Sounds like a dual sport bike to me.. Don't fall into the 650R/450X trap of making a half Mx/half dual sport. Dual sport guys are fat, old, lazy and we live in commie lands but we have money . Seriously though.. CSC style RX3 version of this bike and i'd order one tonight. You'd steal plenty of 250L/KLR/Grom and used dual sport buyers.
Don't fall into the 650r hole? Are you kidding? If someone made a Chinese version of that engine, made it electric start and EFI in a KTM 500 clone frame it'd probably put Suzuki out of business.
So many of us have been wanting and wanting AJP to come here to America. The AJP PR5 is a 75% clone KTM chassis with Fast Ace suspension and a ZS engine. The PP is a 100% clone KTM chassis (or damn close) with Fast Ace suspension and a the same ZS engine. If things like the triples are even remotely in spec and finished, you're essentially getting exactly what you wanted, just in a more affordable package -- and actually available in the states. Same engine, same suspension, almost same chassis. Different BNG. how much is in a name again?
I wish a motor like that existed!! The other aspects of the bike would not be very difficult to complete!
Pitster, thanks a lot for replying to my post about your carb bikes. I'm seriously interested in the LXR if I can afford it. Does a customer need to specify the MX or Enduro version when ordering, or is there no real difference? I saw that it comes with number plates and a light kit, but I seem to get the drift that you differentiate between the MX and Enduro models.
They are 100% the same bike. You get the number plate and light kits so it's up to you which way you set it up. Either install the head lights and tail lights, or leave them off and install the number plate.
If you could get that left off it'd probably improve sales Thanks for taking the time to tell us about the bike.
As in make a great bike that's too heavy as a Dirt Bike but super reliable and then don't sell it as street legal off the shelf. We'd be riding 650R's vs KLR's kick start and all if they thought it through.
I have to say pitster as a Bashan shark owner I have already gone through the "its a china bike" doubts now that I am sold on the bikes and looking too upgrading your products have moved to the top of the list.
