    Hi guys,
Please can someone tell me what type of walkie talkie radios you use in Canada. I'm not sure what band you use out there. I have PMR446 radios that we use in the UK & Europe, will they work in North america? I also have a pair of handheld CB radios that I bought in the US back in 1993, which would be best?
    Thanks, At :nod

The FRS typw frequencies are different from the UK/EU and North America. The CB frequncies are 27Mhz in NA so that may be a better bet.

PMR 446 radios would be illegal in the US without an amateur radio license-the frequncies put them into the 70cm hambands. :nono Keep in mind that FRS radios are $30 a pair at Wal Mart or Rat Shack, may be a better plan to buy them here.
