This is 3 to 4 days of fun and riding around 2 State Forests and 1 National Forest. Camping and Cabins available at the State Park Camp Ground. All adventure, dual sport and tagged dirt bikes are welcome. Riding will include lead rides as well as GPS routes. If you would like the GPS routes emailed to you then please PM me your email address. Also note, these will not be sent out until a few days prior.
We run this in January because it is Florida, and well a good time to get out of the snow.

This weekend is designed for all levels of skill and experience to have fun.

We will have both group rides and opportunities for you to explore on your own. We will have groups for levels A, B, C and D.

Groups A, B and C assume you will be riding a small bike, 500cc and under
Adventure Groups are for Any size bike but targeted to larger bikes
Group D is for any size bike or new riders to sand. It may involve some training as necessary.

    So how this all works:

Thursday many start to arrive, set up and get warmed up. We have not scheduled activities other than going around and getting to meet everyone. Those who arrive early will start exploring nearby State Forests. There are 2, Etoniah Creek State Forest and Belmore State Forests which we focus on Thursday and Friday with Cotton's Famous Chili Cook out Friday afternoon. Saturday is the big day with the focus on Ocala National Forest. This is the big day with folks divided into riding groups which are lead.

Group A -These are what we refer to as the racer group. These riders typical only ride wfo. They are very good and very "focused" meaning if you happen to fall they will not notice. Only ride with this group if you never need help picking yourself up :D (and are fast).
Group B - This group is much like the A group but they (may) notice you fall. Here the expectation is for fast but a little more enjoying the moment. They are typically capable of riding in A, but no longer need the "pressure" :photog.

Group C - I consider this group as "most" folks. What I call regular riders who just want to enjoy the day and really no longer have a "need" to keep up.

Group D - This is for folks new to riding in sand or off road on any size bike. We will actually go over riding techniques off road and do some "practicing" in sections for folks to get comfortable. There is no pressure on this ride other than to not get hurt. We have been "mostly" successful with that goal. At least we do not leave anyone behind. :1drink

Adventure Group- We also have the Big Bike Group. These are the "Big" bikes which could be described as 650 and above. While you can, the word can is hypothetical, only highly skilled riders could handle any of the above groups (A-C) on a big bike. They, would be smart enough not to :D. The Adventure Group will actually be lead by big bikes. Depending on volume we may have A and B groups for the Adventure riders. Special note- if you are new to off road with your big adventure bike, Group D is your best bet.
Street Ride- On Saturday there will also be a street only ride for those that need to avoid dirt all together. This will be a fun twisty ride around central North Fla.

The 2 Stroke Sand Burn Ride on Saturday. This is a group leaving Saturday Morning immediately following riders meeting. They will trailer straight to Rodman Dam Parking lot. Then it will be a 90 mile loop of pure leg burn. (This is how Scouts described the route). This will be a double black diamond ride, so if you have a small and tagged 2 stroke this ride is for you. 50 mile gas range needed

ALERT ALL ROUTES ON BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MUST STAY OUT OF ETANIAH STATE FOREST. THEY ARE HAVING A HORSE COMPETITION IN THERE AND NO BIKES ALLOWED. PLEASE ADJUST YOUR ROUTES

WOW Just got my reservation and got one of the last lake view spots. The only spot left my RV would fit.
