Port Renfrew to bamfield on the Vancouver island

    Looking for anyone who has done this road in the picture. I’ve heard of lots of people taking the Grey route but we were thinking the blue one

    Blue one will have less traffic and might be a bit rougher. More traffic on weekends and logging trucks during the week. Depends what day you're taking it. Take the time to stop at Carmannah Forest. Good camping there too.

    Went through that area last year using the TCAT tracks which I think is the grey route. Roads were all fine but the typical camping spots were "closed" by the bands in the area, and the road into Bamfield had a big "please don't come here during covid" sign. We ended up camping up spur roads. Looks like things might be more open now:
