Meself and Charlie coming back from the Alpine rally, Yarrangobilly.
Charlie’s having a quick nap, I don’t know how he does it but it keeps him alert at the controls.
We had a big four days at the rally site. Bikes didn’t move in between arriving and leaving.
Maybe 250 bikes of all sorts showed up with several airheads.
Heaps of supplied firewood sorted the cold, although this year was warmer than past years.

Before I left home for the rally I dubbed my RS ........ the RStaurant.

I cooked scewered roasted over the coals scotch fillet, a successful roast beef eye fillet with my small stove, a decent Panang curry chicken with basmati rice.
Fire roasted potatoes with butter, sour cream, tasty cheese, fresh chives, cracked black pepper, accompanied the beef dishes.

Dessert and breakfasts weren’t too shabby either.

The cooler can fit 18 cans of Melbourne Bitter in a single layer on the bottom. With ice.
And then all meat, dairy and veg fit on top in containers.

Yes Phil. I cater for myself very well. :D
As well as the odd stray hungry motorcycling companion.
Charlie started all this you know, extreme comfort motorcycle touring.

The best part is you get to flog it all through the mountains, and it flogs well on my RS.

Late Friday afternoon, not too long after arrival.

Can you explain that "Chernobyl" like item on your fire pit - special log?
If you're taking reservations, put me down for dinner at 8 please.

Just a random hollow log, Lorne. Hollow logs always get special treatment at the camp fire.

This is Henning's 75/5 with 900 jugs iirc. This bike will have over 500k miles by now, I should have asked for a mileage update. Henning has organised the Alpine rally for the last 30 years and this rally was his last as organiser.
    Good on you Henning!

Jeff, just when it seemed the "grapes of wrath" exploits on your RStaurant couldn't wow us any further, you offer the "Volcano Chimney Stump" fun time camp site item.
I have to get out more :fpalm .

Had run to the local ACE hardware this morning for some PVC fittings, I told my wife I would be right back. Well about 2 hours and 40 or so miles later I did make it back, I love riding this bike it is so much fun to ride I have a hard time stopping once I get out on it.:D

I have been by this Coffee -Scooter place quite a few times, I was able to stop today to check it out a little better. The owner has a real nice selection of bikes in his stable, even a nice 80 G/S, and the Iced coffee is great.

It is, they are pricy, just bought one for my GSPD. A little over $300.00 US including shipping.
They work pretty well, a little fiddley with the center stand at times.
