Unicycles can also do trials. They both take lots of balance and practice. Here is my new toy. Just got 2 days ago. I need a better pic. I have 1 year practice then 2 years off. 3 day on in 2 years and I can go a full mile without stopping or falling.
This was my first time riding a giraffe uni about 13 years ago. Once I got over the fear of my head being 10 feet high, it was actually easier than a regular one. I rode a bunch as a teenager, then almost none in the (too many) years since. I still have a couple of them (24" & two 20") but can't remember the last time I rode one.
I have a 20", 24" and 26". I can ride them maybe a 100' and then I fall off. Guess I should have tried to learn before I was 55.
Mad as a box of frogs, these things, wish I could. Have a few videos though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQD_nwpTvLM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBudYmQTZTg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r848yQikJaA
My father says it is a trick, done with mirrors. Funny story (motorcycle related; go figure): I got my first motorcycle when I in fifth grade. My dad cam home from work one day and said "I know how much you wanted a mini bike, so I got you one." I run to the door as he drags a new Schwinn Unicycle out of his company car. I learned to ride it just to spite that mean ol' S.O.B.
Just got an email saying my Unicycle arrived today... never tried one before but saw a guy riding down the street the other day so I ordered 2 from amazon one for me and the other I had delivered to a friend - his wife is going to kill me - LOL! … might have to leave work early to try it out .
Wow thing things are great fun!!! going to need a taller seat post as my legs are a bit long but good enough to get started on
I called my friend just as he was getting home to find his - Luckily it was before his wife arrived … haven't stopped laughing, he just could not believe it! Our challenge is going to be who can ride it best by July 1st
Grown man wearing a bicycle helmet. On a unicycle. Peering through the glass door. Yeah, nothing creepy about that.
