    I have been at it for months with very little success but when I do have success it is like being a little kid learning something new - just makes me really really happy :-).

    I was riding my homebuilt recumbent in the RAGBRAI back in 2009. Reclining nicely in the custom seat I built for it, lumbar curve, back support, made it easy to ride 60+ miles a day. Did 80+ miles on it my 1st day after completing the bike just two days earlier.

    There was a guy riding a big wheel unicycle on that RAGBRAI. Direct gearing, he had to pedal downhill as much as uphill or on the flat. As I passed him on a sunny 95 F day with 100 F heat index, I asked "having fun?" He groaned out, "nnnnnooooo."

    Well with the trials bike in the shop getting the rear shock repaired (all that log practice must have worn it out) I figured I would try once again to ride the unicycle....
