And seriously, not bad value. New everything. Probably better than grabbing a used engine of unknown condition, then finding it needs rings, camchain, carby kit(s), electrics, etc.

That was a great weekend!!
Decided to put the original headlight and guages back on.
40+ year old bike, perhaps the temp gauge, semi accurate speedo and something connected to the end of the tacho cable might be worth having.
So I think I will go for the used back guard/ safari bike/Pezz/scrapheap look.

Just an update to let you know where we are up to with Scrapheap 11.
Our plan is to proceed and I have spoken with the good people at Gulargambone and they are still very keen
Spoke to David at the Caravan Park and he is hopeful the event will proceed, as am I.
If for some reason, Sydney is still in lockdown, we will have someone like Col of Team Inverell take control of the Microphone and festivities.
The ultimate call will be with the local council and their guidelines.
We may have to make adjustments on the fly and I will try and keep everyone up to speed.

The cx has received a much needed fork overhaul. I replaced the two thimbles full of sludge with correct amount of fork oil, new seals, gators and a bit of a tart up.

I have this nice highly tuned engine sitting under the bench. . . .
Just need to come up with a gearbox solution . . . . maybe an old British 3 speed box. . . .
Pick up an old sub 100cc complied frame and see where it ends up . . . .

I'm playing a waiting game to se what happens with border closures. Still a bit sketchy at this point. No way I can afford to be forced to quarantine in the grubberment place of choosing at my expense.
I'll wait till the last gasp to officially decline but it ain't lookin too good.
