Mattawa WA, overlooking the Columbia River. I almost got stuck here, spun my tires until I got out. Very steep, and had gotten the hee be jee bees from the scenery.
Man, I only wish I could ride those roads here in Washington State! When I was a kid back in the late 70's early 80's you could ride power line roads & trails everywhere.... There were Jeep clubs and dirt bike clubs all using them, really awesome. Then I joined the military, moved away 20 years, retired...then came back. Now, all my beloved power line roads are gated and marked "No Trespassing" everywhere you go. Tweakers, illegal trash dumpers, fire starters, squatters, people wanting to sue land owners when they get hurt, etc, etc.... I guess that's progress but it sure is a bummer, all that prime riding area just going to waste.
While I will almost always avoid "No Trespassing" signs, there are times where I don't. Luckily, so far I haven't seen any power line roads that have them.
