I'll sticky this for a week or so and let it gather some attention.

Then, maybe we'll move it to Inmates.

I am a little concerned with you guys setting this poor guy up to come into LA. It will confirm everything people learn about the US on television. :rofl
What if he runs into the Governor:eek1.
I love that you guys keep doing this. I have been waiting for this announcement and meant to PM Glen to see if I had missed it. I will be putting something in the Paypal for the effort.

Tinks inspired this post but it is to no one in particular.

There are many thousands of route options. Lu will start with route 1 shown
in post #2. How long he stays with it depends on things yet unknown.

Many considerations went into the draft routes. Among those considerations
were how much time would be spent droning instead of viewing, taking pictures,
and visiting inmates. Weather and time of year also come into play. Bail out
    points are another consideration.

There is nowhere to stop when adding just one more National Park/State/City/Attraction
until you end up traveling 300+ miles a day and become toast after a couple of weeks.
This trip is intended to be traveled at an easy going pace, anywhere from 90 to 150 miles a day.

There will also be the option of disappearing for a few days at a time to recharge whatever
    needs it.

As we have learned in the last two guest rider adventures, the basic route might be fine but
NO SCHEDULE LASTS MORE THAN TWO DAYS.

This is our third rodeo, everything will work out in due time.

I have a bike he can use but I wouldn't be able to get it to LA. If no other bike is volunteered and if he can fly into either Portland or Seattle I can get the bike to him there.

When Chanderjeet was here he took it for a test spin around NWGSs driveway. I sure wish we would have gotten a picture of that. :ricky

Two different peeople. CrazyCarl lives in Virginia and moved back to the US from China one year ago. Lu Fei (Lu is family/last name, Fei is given/first name) lives in Beijing and has never been to the US before.

With all the nut jobs around here it's bound to be at least interesting! :D

If he decides to go his own way, I have an open invite for ADVers in Boulder Utah September 16-23 -see Rocky Mountain Regional postings. He'd be welcome and I'd put him up.
It would be something for him to write home about. They don't have terrain like this in China.

Sounds like he would like to see some of the western parks. Maybe my dates would work out well.

    What do you think Louis-CN???

"Lu", the family name, works just fine but in China folks would probably call him "Lu Fei". Generally, if a person only has a single character first name in China, they will be called both family and first. If they have a two character first name, then they can be called both first name characters.

For example, my name in China is "Wang Fei Shi". Wang (King) is the family name and FeiShi (FlyingStone) would be the first name. Folks would call me "FeiShi" or "Wang FeiShi" but NOT "Wang" (to avoid confusion) or "Fei" unless it was a nick name like "Fei Fei".

Again, these are only general rules and, when traveling, people will usually like to be called whatever name works. :D
