there's also Wright farm rd. which goes North from Buffalo Mt. Rd. to a 4wd rd. on the topo map.
would you remember if the sign was West or East of Wright farm Rd.

Sign would be east of Wright Farm Rd! It was maybe 1/2 mile up Buffalo Mtn Rd from Rte 14!

Rode the Puppy Dog trail last week. Started in Brattleboro, stayed at the Hampton Inn, first day rode South close to Greenfield and back. Got there late afternoon so didn't have much time. Second day rode to Montpelier using the 2018 route, lunch at So. Woodstock Country Store, great subs and cookies, stayed at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Montpelier which was convenient to walk to the restaurants. Had dinner at Sarducci's which was very nice. Second day rode up to the border then headed west to pick up the 2012 route south. Made it to Waterbury that day and stayed at the Fairfield Inn. Rode downtown to McGillicuddy's Irish Pub for dinner. Next day continued south to Ripton, lunch at Ripton Country Store had bike issues so had to call it quits there, headed back to Brattleboro mostly highway to pick up the truck and trailer and head back to Ripton to pick up the other bike. Amazed at how many dirt roads there are in Vermont! Nice trip despite the bike issues and will be back. Really appreciated all of the advice and especially the gpx files!!

Were the gates open? I've been in the past and the roads in where gated or ditched across.

the gate was closed but not locked on the side we came in I believe from the west but we were told everyone goes up there and just close the gate behind us which we did. Then there was an oil tank dropped to try to block the road but you could get around it. when we left we exited on the eastbound side and this gate was open.

Cady Hill Rd. was gated but there was enough room to easily get around with a bike, it was in bad shape for 1/2 mile to another gate.
    easily passable on any bike

Was anyone doing the 2012 version this weekend? Passed by several adv bikes. I was on a red Cagiva GC! First half of 2012 was reallly nice. A good combo of casual residential dirt roads and a some more rocky “single track”

the Best of the 2012/2018 PDR Mid Sections

    2018-2102 Mid PDR.jpg
Ok....folks...just combined the Mid Sections of the 2012 and 2018 PDR for a nice loop, 210 miles!!! I usually start from Meadow Crest Campground. It's a 11 miles(98% dirt) out to the 2018 PDR(County rd). I ride the loop CW, so I hit Chase Rd. going up hill. And on the way back I ride Chandler Rd. around. Gonna say, there is only at the most 20 miles of slab, not bad for a 210 mile ride. The longest slabs sections were 3 miles long(2 of them), everything else was a mile here and under a mile there. I wide variety of dirt roads too. Plenty of Gas stops...Chelsea, Randolph, a mile or so in Berlin, a few miles west on Route 64 and 3 miles south of Meadow Crest Campground/Marshfield Inn on US 2.

thanks for all original creators for putting together the PDR's.

PDR MID....did some today, very nice. Chase Road had a sign Road Closed at the beginning but it went through. Probably turned to class 4 somewhere in the middle, nice change from groomed dirt!

Where is that awesome gorge? I see someone posted a pic earlier and you had a shot of it in your video too. I’m guessing must be in northern VT?
