G'day all wondering if anyone has purchased a helmet from overseas, looking for a light weight adventure helmet and have come across a couple, Nishua Enduro Carbon and Suomy MX Tourer. Both look like great helmets but don't look like their available in Australia that I can find. Maybe they are! If someone can point me in the right direction would be great. Thanks.

Hey Darryl, I know this is not what you are asking but if you have not tried the Bell MX-9 Adventure helmet I would strongly suggest you check it out. It is readily available in Australia for $300 or less. I have seen a Melbourne shop clearing last years colours out on eBay for under $200 delivered. It is a really great helmet at a really great price. Sorry I can’t help directly with your question.

I and a few others have got the Nishua. Its a good thing, with similar fitting to an Arai. It doesn't breathe as well as my XD4, but is light and quiet, so makes a good winter helmet.

The Nishua is the Klim without the Klim price, and it appears you can only get it in black whereas you can get the Klim in white. My mate has the Klim and he is happy with it. I bought a Schubert from FCMoto in Germany, saved about $350.00. Definitely do it again, even if I would now have to pay GST.

The nishua apparently also benefits from swapping peaks across to a klim peak - so factor that into the cost ( and it'll still be a lot cheaper than I paid for my klim )

Ps $60 fir the peak https://www.adventuremoto.com.au/klim-krios-peak-visor

I bought the Nishua recently while it was on special but the fit just didn't work for me. I'm at the top of medium or the bottom of large sizing so the shape is critical for me to get a good fit. If you can wait until the Nishua is on sale ($325 AUD landed) it's worth chancing the fit as most people are happy with the fit.
I'll keep using my XD4 and hope the Airoh Commander get's sold here and fits me well.

Yeah I have one, would like something lighter if possible without the $1000 price tag. But as they say $2 helmet for a $2 head lol

I just picked up a Suomy MX Tourer from FFRC, $494.95. It is incredibly light, pick the box up and thought it was empty. In comparison to the Nexx XD1 it's replacing, it's much more comfortable.
