Nice. Looks familiar. That XT gets around pretty good in the gnar.
Thanks, yeah shes no hot rod but she gots what counts; traction
Just a little edit of a typical work day for me and the trails I ride on the way to work.
Short video of some riding during Fridays rain spatter.
Not in the PNW, but it's got to be Northwest of somewhere.
Gravity is not your friend!
I've been building and riding some trails for over a year on the XT225, but yesterday I rode my KTM 300 on them for the first time with an all 2 stroke crew. Thouroughly enjoyed it, even though I tweaked my knee on a damn slippery sideways log, damnit!
I added a voice over on this vid, and talked about the (ill)legality of the trails, 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, and riding in general.
Machete vs Blackberries.
Just had to wake this thread up with a random video:
Hey I know that fire pit and some of those trails! That's my step daughters place.
Here's a couple. Painted Hills and Nehalem Bay. Very pnw but no bikes, don't hate me.
What I did this weekend.
Been bugging me that I did not get much camping off the bike in this past summer. Saw mention of a sort of winter storm rolling in Friday night so I packed things up and went for a ride.
Video starts at the point the snow was too deep and cementy to get through and I had to turn around using a bit of a wheelie and rotate method (that felt like it was working better than it looked) and set up at a lower camp. Didn't have snow there in the evening but it kept trying and then rewarded me with a few inches in the morning.
We need to ride to the painted hills this year!
Great job getting out there Catflap. I think I'm most impressed with your ability to get a fire going up there!!!
Secret was taking a small 1.5 hour presto log. They pack easy and are great for getting wet, snow covered wood going. Winter camping standard equipment. I use every advantage available to me when I do something stupid. hehe
Here is a pretty poor video due to the angle and length but it was just a super quick slapped together video of a few random clips from last weekends ride! Its pretty much all trail till about minute 15 then some gravel roads. Ill point the camera up next time and take some more time editing!
Better bump this thread with an oldie but a goodie! There are a bunch of videos in here that didn't survive the format change.
Your my kinds crazy > take me next time!
I will bow to that gentleman!
Here's one of mine from a few years ago. Riding with my son in law. We hit most of the trails near the Grassy Flats staging area in the Upper Nestucca Riding Area in the Coast range.
