Another great series on the Trans American Trail!
If I can't make another international trip soon and go insane,
the TAT and the Colorado's Alpine Loop would be my go to ride for a 2 to 3 week ride.

It just dawned on me that the Korean War started back in 1950. They have officially been at each other's throat the last 90 years.

It took me 3 months to ride over there to NK a few months back and now all of sudden, Moon and Kim are besties??

Coincidence?? I have one thing to say...

YOU WELCOME America / the WORLD!!!!

Hmmmm.. where to next oh World Peace Whisperer???

I don't know how I will ever be able to thank you. Now if you could swing by the high school where I teach and get these idiot boys full of warm-weather testosterone to act peacefully, you will have truly have saved the world, or at the very least, my sanity.

Same thing. Actually, the high school boys are less of a threat.

True...remember Aya (Azerbaijani for "BEAR") was graduating this year and rejoining the adventure work force ?

"Her boots" are ready for walking and I'm stuck in a rat race project, counting the days for my big escape....

Amazon has Lightspeed Steel Core locking Straps: 2-pack ( I assume keyed the same) for $30.00 .
    https://www.amazon.com/Lightspeed-Outdoors-Locking-Security-Steelcore/dp/B013BH9O32

True that it’s a 12 feet strap. I’m just gonna cut it to required length (and have spare strap material for repair /replacement.. genius!)

Cheaper than 1 x Steel Core’s 6' for $30 @ Rocky Mountain or Mosko Moto..

I used them as secondary locking mechanisms to keep hard panniers locked when parked / visible to pass-byers but also to keep panniers from sliding off racks in case of a fall.

And used to lock tight the soft panniers. Cheap enough to give them a try :p..

Hmmm.. looks like a blatant knock-off of the “Steel Core” brand ones.
    - though; at 1/2 the price, I’d probably buy a set. (Bummer that not able to then order keyed same as My Steel Core pair - as you can order from them more keyed alike)

-give us a review/comparison to your others when you get them.

It's exactly the same , I can't tell the difference laid side by side...so heck yes; I'm ordering another set at that price. Will use the 2nd set to tie Kelly up in the bedroom (.... so I can sneak out to the titty bars.. lol.)

I plan to cut them down to 4.5ft , the 4ft was almost too short , left me 3 inches to pull on when tighten down the panniers horizontally on bmw f800...

We ALL can use a "few more inches" can't we boys?? Uh... anywho.... with this 12 ft option, you can cut down to the length you need and save the rest for repair when the strap get torned or burned ( I had part of it get too close to exhaust once) .

Just make sure after you cut the strap/ steel core to burn the ends to prevent fraying..

By the way, I paid 3 (2×4ft, 1x6ft) @ $90 for the Steel Core and 4 x 12ft @ $60 for Lighten Speed.. cut to whatever length you want.

Yeah - awesome! Thanks for sharing.. may have to get me a set as well..

The locking pin itself is just as sturdy?

    Thanks Moses!
